Location: Tennessee | All points of view contain some element of the truth. We are fortunate to live in a country where we can be exposed to all points of view ... it is this that makes us a great country. No one person can make us good or bad ... it is our collective voices that tell the world who we are. It would be a disaster if we leaned too far to the left just as much as it would be a disaster if we leaned too far to the right. For me, the key thing that makes the US so special is that the Constitution is there to protect the rights of the one, so that I am not trampled by the many. Forget about which side anyone is on ... listen to the bit of truth in the other side's position and work to integrate it into one's own position. But never be cowed into not standing by (or stating) your own firmly-held beliefs, whatever they may be. |

Huh?
I hope you were being sarcastic with that statement...I've never seen a gun - or a car - kill anyone of it's own volition; a human being with a will had to be involved. |
