There are a few still in the hands of dealers...the Guitar Center here has one ($1,799, up so high, can't tell that it has abalone.) As far as Europe, no idea.

I haven't found any other brand, at whatever cost, that compares.

The staff in the string/accessory section didn't know they had one. The guys in the guitar section knew it was an Ovation but didn't even know it was a Custom Legend, let alone a limited run. (Probably thought it was a Celeb.) Never tried to negotiate with GC but if they don't market it, don't care, don't sell - with a little haggling, might be a good deal for someone as it would have warranty.

US dealer: new, with warranty, $1,750-$1,850. demo or used: $1,500-$1,550. as to availability, my understanding is that the guitars were "sold" by the factory in February, whether they had all been shipped. there are some still in the dealer network.

It was hanging way up high on the wall and I didn't ask to play it. It had the most beautiful abalone I've ever seen on the soundhole rosette-I have two 1619's and there is no comparison. Also the bear claw markings in the spruce were very striking. It looked like the one that photos were posted of here a few months ago (Standing O's?). The price was $1799.

And for Duncan, yes, oui, I love my two adamas, especially my Adamas blue II, which is the best big sound, I think, of all my guitars. I'll never do again....
