David Hidalgo played a D-12 on Los Lobos' "Kiko" CD on the song, "Two Janes".

Thanks for the heads up on this...never saw a 12 string banjo before! Probably best left for someone with deeper pockets who could do the thing some justice! I've never even played a banjo, but this looks pretty cool! Thanks though! Johnny

I sold my 6sb to a guy in Surfer Band... should be interesting

Or be two & two fifths times as annoying as one 5 string banjo player! I'm just teasing, I really like banjos. (Just not too close.) Lets face it, Foggy Mountain Breakdown wouldn't sound right without a banjo. And a tuba. Haha, teasing again! /\/\/

Plus, it's not exactly 2 and 2/5 times as annoying because the 5 string is really only 4 1/2 strings, right? Be that as it may, I think I've got a pretty good idea what it sounds like. "Nuts in a vise" comes to mind.

I have had to endure newgrass by Bela Fleck on 5 strings and old old grass on gut string replicas that sounds like someone playing on bicycle wheel spokes (which I tried as a child when I couldn't afford an instrument). 12 string banjo? That is like sticking a Caterpillar D-8 Diesel in a formula 1, thinking the torque will overcome the weight. No Way!!! Bailey
