Location: Midland, MI | Here is a 1988 1868 on fleaBay. The price doesn't seem bad, for the moment, but I notice in the pictures that the headstock and neck are painted black. My own 1868 doesn't have a painted neck/headstock, but then again I've got the -4 finish. Did O paint the necks/heads to match the body on non-natural finish guitars? |

Location: Phoenix AZ | There was a long period when black guitars got black painted necks (but under the paint still 5 piece necks on legend, elite, custom, etc.). Some were satin black and some were glossed. I'm not sure the breakdown by year or model. I personally think it looks ugly, even though I own a few. |
