Last night after playing golf I was sitting in the kitchen playing my 1982 1611... Got up and set it in the barstool leaning on the backrest facedown (stupid me) ... Went to the fridge for a beer and turned around just in time to see our rabbit chase the cat across the kitchen startling the golden retriever who was laying next to the barstool... Dog jumps up to get out of the way...knocks the barstool alittle... then gravity took effect... guitar slips and BANG!.... After picking the poor thing up the total damage was tearfull... top separated from bowl at the lower bout.... I loosened strings to keep top from pulling off anymore.. I might try to fix it myself since it only cost me $200... The top already had some cracks in it and I basically use it as a boat guitar... I know some of you guys know what kind of adheasive to use... Can you give me some suggestions on doing a decent repair job?... Thanks in advance.
Gerald...

In case any of you want to know the status of the rabbit... He's fine (for now)... Although, I've got people coming over for dinner on Sunday and haven't planned the menu yet... I might have 4 lucky (or unlucky) rabbit foot keychains available for sale!

You can make your own glue (providing you boil the rabbit down long enough) . . . . .

Thicker stew mac glue would work.

If it's a simple separation, any two-part epoxy will work, in combination with a little masking tape to hold the top down while the glue is setting. Just be fastidious in cleaning up the squeeze-out.
I'm pleased you didn't jeopardize your premeditation defense.........
