I was looking at a Deacon brochure

and I noticed at the bottom that they advertise a natural and a red colored one.

Has anybody got/seen one of these?

I always liked Ovation solid bodies. Wish they still made them.

I've seen a DARK colored natural, but I haven't seen one as light in color as the advertisement. Which got me to wondering if Ovation ever used any wood other than mahogany for the Deacon/Breadwinner bodies.

I've got a Natural that is a little darker than the one in the brochure, I'll post a pic in the gallery some time soon! I used to own a sunburst about 18 yrs ago.

All mahogony except for the spruce one for Messina that he never got. If there was anything else it was a one off.

It probably took too long to build and he wasn't interested when it was done.

They're all the same, but still not as bad as banjurists.
