Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | I'm expecting delivery of a used country artist, fresh from ebay! (keeping my fingers crossed, that it's as promised) and I was wondering about cases and strings. I did a search here and it looks like there are no more cases being made specifically for artist bowls, as such, what you do is buy a mid-depth/deep case and add some foam at the bottom? Is that right?
Also, I was wondering about strings, are "hard tension" ball end strings the right ones?
Thanks |

Nylon strings don't, usually, have ball ends. Buy hard tenion nylon strings that you have to tie off on the bridge. |

Location: Scotland | The artist bowls slop about in mid-depth cases, as I found out when I tried my SMT case for my Country Artist. The guitar comes up to the rim of the case and leaves the entire lid for it to bounce around in. Best bet is to make some larger cushions for the lid to grab the guitar at the nut & lower bout. |
