Especially, 'Clinton Park' from his 'It is what it is' album. Amazing guitar and the organ is quite tasty. Oh, and only 50 days until Frank Vignola and Joe Ascione are playing the Firefly in Ann Arbor...I'm going, are you?

I look around for Candid Camera and return my pics for the real thing. Seems that Fabio had been in town and someone had an excited photo op. Must have flustered the poor girl sorting pics as well. I don't think Fab plays an Ovation.

Sooo, what about that sunburn??? Thanks for the compliments. :) Here's your story: Last March, Sally (my wife), Littleman (aka Mitchell, two this month!) and I decided to go down to Anna Maria. We flew down on a Wed. and just kind of hung out. Thursday we went down to the beach (Holmes, I think, but it might have been Anna Maria Beach) just before lunch and hung out until just before dinner. As we were walking back, Sal was riding me about not having put on sunscreen (it doesn't matter, even SPF 30 doesn't work on me) and I was starting to feel 'crisp'. The picture of me and Littleman was taken shortly after we got back and you can see how pink I was. I didn't sleep well because I couldn't get comfortable...the next day, I had pus oozing out of my face, arms and legs. I just got darker and darker red (from what you see in the pic). It was quite painful; I couldn't walk because the skin on my legs was so painful..not to mention clothes rubbing against it. Someone told me I had managed to give myself second degree burns...from the sun. On the flight back, I was sitting next to some 5yo kid, minding my own business, peeling sheets of skin off (I know, gross). I peeled a sheet off my cheek that went up onto my nose and the kid looks at me and says, in the loudest voice I have ever heard, 'Hey, mister, quit picking your nose!' Everyone made fun of me, back here in Michigan, because I looked like a tomato. Just for the record, sunscreen does *not* work on me...to whit, last month we went up to the cottage (on the east arm of Grand Traverse Bay, so it's not tropical Must be my delicate constitution. HAHA. And that is the story of the sunburn. The moral of the story is: sunscreen does not work for everyone and...stay inside!

You have my unadulterated envy....nice having a place up near Traverse City!!!!! It's a neat place, although it's definitely getting "citified". Roger

I sat out in the backyard here (Midland) last weekend and got red (although not painfully so) arms, legs, and face. I have no idea why I burn so easily, as I have dark brown hair (ok, except for the grey ones...haha) and gray eyes. Not the typical fair skinned, blonde hair/blue eyes that everyone thinks of as burn-material. In fact, Patch (my middle son, 11) and Littleman both are blonde/blue and they both turn into little towheaded latinos in the summer. It's just too weird. The cottage in TC isn't 'ours' (although I wish it were), it belongs to my wife's family (her grandfater, Poppy, built it a long while back as a place for everyone to get away to). On second thought, I'm glad it's not...we don't have to pay the taxes! HAHA. You're right though, TC is not the same as it was even six or eight years ago. The sprawl is amazing. I attribute it to all the Chicago-landers and Southeastern Michigander's reaching retirement age and migrating up there. =(
