I own a 1981 Legend and I'm hearing a rattling noise on the D and G string around the bridge when I strum. It is only on these two strings. Any idea what this problem is. I just recently purchased the guitar and changed the strings out too. Thanks.

It could be the strings but you say you just changed them. Maybe try that again?
Is it a sunburst or natural? S/B have bolts to hold on the bridges (insurance, like belts with suspenders) and maybe a bolt is loose. This is a far fetched possability but just a guess.
Maybe the output jack? they rattle sometimes.

cwk2,

Thanks for the reply. It is a natural. I did check the output jack. Is there something under the bridge that might be causing it? Thanks.

Natural won't have the bolts. Good luck finding it. I play mostly old National tricones and when they get a rattle, and they all do at some point, it drives you crazy trying to find it and fix it.
