I bought a used Ovation back around 1998 and am trying to identify the model #.
The sticker came off the inside, and i have misplaced or lost it. I have some pictures in my photo album here and will be posting more..
I appreciate any help or tips on identifying it.

I have looked through Ovation's site and have not found an exact match. So far there seems to be at least one thing different in the pictured guitars (besides the finish).
It came with a deep bowl case # 9110 - that's the only number i have found besides on the preamp!
:D
Thanks!

Welcome Phil!
My best guess from your pics is a Celebrity CC68 perhaps.

One piece neck
Chrome hardware
Dot/Diamond fret markers
Neck Binding
Cut Away and Center Soundhole

Welcome to the club.

The 2 piece neck and rosewood fingerboard say that it's a Celebrity of some sort, but I don't know the model....

Howdy, Phil. My bet is that it is an Ultra 1528. And an early one to boot ... it's got the brown bowl and the waist mounted concentric vol/tone knob. I'll bet it plays and sounds nice.

I concede to Bobbo...
Shoulda counted fret markers. 9 vs 15.

Wow... thanks people!

Cholloway pointed out the fret marker difference which throws out the Celebrity..

Bobbo picked it as a potential Ultra 1528, but that seems to be a super shallow bowl model, and this fits its 9110 deep bowl case (and my 5 1/4" measurement at the center of the bride side of the soundhole seems to confirm)

Based on that i looked at the 1527, but that bridge in the picture seems assymetrical (longer on one side - I noticed others that looked that way too. Is it just the pictures?

Also I can't see the preamp controls in the pic of the 1527, so i am off to search :)
What do you think ? Am I on the right track?

I am thankful for the help - I want to give my Ovation a name at least .. and I will continue to look for that sticker

~It's great to be here - It took me a while after finding this site to join and post .. there is a lot of good reading to do here :)
