Location: Back in the Valley of the Sun Mesa Az. | For too long, and too often, we Americans have taken for granted the freedom in which we live. This nation has been truly blessed, protected, and graced by God's providence. Though we have experienced much pain, turmoil, and injustice, at the hands of those who would wreak havoc, hate and tyranny upon our land, the hand of God has once again raised us up, and held us to his side.
How merciful is the Lord, and for how long will he tarry in a land that creates it's own god's to worship. A people who in good times turn a deaf ear to the Lord, and in crisis call upon his name in desperation. Oh but for the prayers of those who humbly give God the glory in the everyday, and stand courageous in his faith and strength to face any foe, knowing that if God is with us, who can stand against us!
I am thankful for the warriors that protect this land. Those who made this country great, and those who are willing to sacrifice all if neccessary to preserve our freedom. Warriors...Prayer Warriors!
Happy Independence Day to all on the OFC board. I wish you all a GREAT weekend! Eat a little too much, hug your kids a little longer than normal, tell your wife how beautiful she is, and most of all at least three times this weekend, thank the Lord for the country you are blessed to live in, and remember to say.... GOD BLESS THE USA!!!

Have you wondered what happened to the men who signed the Declaration of Independence?
We are one day from one of the most important Holidays of our Nation, so it is time to remember . . .
* * * * * 4TH OF JULY * * * * *
Have you ever wondered what happened to the 56 men who signed the
Declaration of Independence?
Five signers were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died.
Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned. Two lost their sons serving in
the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.
Nine of the 56 fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War.
They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.
What kind of men were they?
Twenty-four were lawyers and jurists. Eleven were merchants, nine were farmers and large plantation owners; men of means, well educated, but they signed the Declaration of Independence knowing full well that the penalty would be death if they were captured.
Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay >his debts, and died in rags.
Thomas McKeam was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.
Vandals or soldiers looted the properties of Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Ruttledge, and Middleton.
At the battle of Yorktown, Thomas Nelson, Jr., noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George
Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.
Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.
John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his >wife dead and his children vanished.
Some of us take these liberties so much for granted, but we shouldn't.
So, take a few minutes while enjoying your 4th of July
holiday and silently thank these patriots.
It's not much to ask for the price they paid.

Now they seem to be our only friends, even though we bailed out all of the countries who hate us, where in god damn hell does Jacque Chirac think he would be, if the Nazis or the Russian Communists had won. I'll say where he would have been, cowering in some French hideaway where every coward lived as our soldiers died to save his half assed country, his shitty attitude is surrounded by thousand of American graves that allows him to speak out against those that saved his cheap ass, I say, give them back to the Nazis, that is what they want and deserve.

Once upon a time (allegedly) in a nice little forest, there lived an
orphaned bunny and an orphaned snake. By a surprising coincidence,
both were blind from birth.
One day, the bunny was hopping through the forest, and the snake was
slithering through the forest, when the bunny tripped over the snake and
fell down. This, of course, knocked the snake about quite a bit.
Oh, my," said the bunny, "I'm terribly sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you.
I've been blind since birth, so, I can't see where I'm going. In
fact, since I'm also an orphan, I don't even know what I am."
It's quite OK," replied the snake. "Actually, my story is much the
same as yours. I, too, have been blind since birth, and also never knew my
mother. Tell you what, maybe I could slither all over you, and work out
what you are, so at least you'll have that going for you."
Oh, that would be wonderful," replied the bunny.
So the snake slithered all over the bunny, and said, "Well, you're covered
with soft fur; you have really long ears; your nose twitches; and you have a
soft cottony tail. I'd say that you must be a bunny rabbit."
"Oh, thank you! Thank you," cried the bunny, in obvious excitement. The
bunny suggested to the snake, "Maybe I could feel you all over with my paw,
and help you the same way that you've helped me."
So the bunny felt the snake all over, and remarked, "Well, you're smooth and
slippery, and you have a forked tongue, no backbone and no balls. I'd say
you must be French". |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | I apologize for my rant, but I get angry every time we are attacked for doing what others won't. My grandson is back in Ft. Bragg alive and well, thank god, but other grandsons are being murdered trying to help a country that needed help, and the French flout their superiority of not getting involved in an "improper war", send the victims back to the dungeons, gas the Kurds, torture women and children, the French are in control and will only get involved if Chirac's political future is threatened, in the meantime, give Chirac credit for the American success. The attitude of these people get our soldiers killed as the Saddamists wait for them to convince our wobblies to reinstate Saddam so he can ship them some of those billions he has stolen from the Iraqis. Certain people pop champagne every time a soldier is killed as they creep closer to those billions they know Saddam has stashed.
Damn, I ranted again, I am out of control. |

There's no need to rant. In my mind, the French are like Barbara Streidsand. Whatever issue they take a stand on, I find that if I take an opposite stand, I'm usually on the moral and right side. It's easy. |
