I have a worn out video of the guitar trio (DiMeola/McLlaughlin/DeLucia)playing in Germany in 1983. They play an unbelievable version of Chick Corea's "Spain." It is far and away the best guitar piece I've ever heard. Truly unbelievable. DiMeola's solo is particularly breathtaking. I don't suppose anyone out there is aware of a transcription of this piece is there? I wouldn't be able to play it but a few licks here and there would be gratifying.
I saw them play in '95 on their reunion tour and "Spain" was their encore. I've tried to find a video of their reunion tour but can't seem to find that either.
