I'm joining Memphis-based (that's Memphis,Tennessee, not Memphis, Egypt) singer-songwriter Bob Cheevers for the Northern leg of his current UK tour, and while I realise most of the board membership is in the USA there must be a lot of lurkers on this side of the pond. Needless to say I'll be tooled up with several Ovations.......

Good luck with the tour , and may your roadie's have a firm grip on the equipment ( especially the Ovation's )

Location: Scotland | Thanks Bill. Having used my new guitar for the first part of the tour I can tell you all that the pickup/mic combo is a great success. The mic subtely adds the "air" and presence that you can't eq into a piezo without making it cut your head off. I found I had to eq a lot of the bass out of the mic & it only needed a 70/30% mix with the piezo to make a difference, and of course the monitors carried only the piezo signal. The bone saddle was definately worth the expense. |
