Location: Atlanta, GA | I need some help... I have an Adamas 6 string model 1687-5 with a carved bridge and headstock. I am looking for a matching 12 string but don't know if the carved version is a "deluxe" or called something else??? Mine is black carbon top with gold speckles. I have seen 12 strings that are close, but they don't have the carved bridge and headstock. Is this the difference between an Adamas I and an Adamas II???? Thanks. |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | Shamus, I have a 1687-5 Adamas also. Cool, what year is yours? Mine is a 1981 model and you can see it in the galley. I love this guitar!..Paul Hebert |

Location: Atlanta, GA | Hi Paul:
Mine is a 1993 that my wife bought for me for one of our anniversaries. I'm looking for a matching 12 string if you come across one.

I don't think they made that many. Do we, or does anybody have a count on 1688 made, and color count? I have an early 1688-8 and I think the first 1688 was # 245 or close. If the records are available... It would be nice to see in the reference.
