Location: arizona | Hi...first time posting,so bear with me,i'm still not sure i'm at the right site..the guy from takamine sent me this website address and said that the people here are very knowledgeable,so here goes...
i own a Takamine EA-360..what makes this guitar unique is that it is an acoustic/electric "flying v"..maple top, mahogany sides and back, rosewood fretboard and neck,it seems..transducer pickup in the bridge , i'll assume due to the fact that i don't see any other place for amplification.no visible pickups ,in other words..other than that , i've never seen one of these before and i've been playing for over 3 decades..any of you out there that might know anything about this piece of wood, i welcome your postings..it plays like a dream , close action, bright sound,light..
thanks in advance for any info brought forward

Location: NJ | I did an article on that guitar for Acoustic guitar magazine about 6 years ago. If you go to their website I think it is still there. If not contact me and I will scan you a copy if I can find it |

As long as you're here, look around and see what these acoustic pickers are saying. They will try to convert you to the roundback religion but you are welcome to give your opinion as a long time picker.

Location: arizona | bailey..conversions are for those not comitted to what they believe in , i'm a firm believer of using whatever suits the particular need of the piece that i'm writing...in truth,i'm an electric player first but a fan of the use of as many voicings as possible to make a piece work...love leo kotke , jerry douglas,et al but i have always found myself back at electric..i own an ovation but i also have a gibson j-160e,and the takamine v that i wrote this site about...i like the sound of well made instruments whether they are composed of organic materials or not...but i definitely enjoy exchanging info and beliefs with other players...

If you visit here once in a while you will find a bunch of us touting the discontinued Vipers, Breadwinners, Deacons etc that Ovation made some years ago. QOTSA is playing in El Paso this week and they feature an Ovation solid body. This is not all acoustic territory.
