Found this while searching for Adamas on Norwegian web pages. Comer from the norwegian MK fanclub site, they write that Mark used it on ”The Man`s Too Strong” from ”Brothers In Arms” in 1985.

Interesting to know, and that's a very nice guitar. Knopler is known, these days, for playing Martins.

Do a search on Knopfler, an interview with him is posted...

He also continues to spend a lot of time on Nationals

I just got a new cd with him and Emmy Lou and it's great. I think he's still playing the Nationals but has gone over to the Martins. I guess they have a pretty strong endorsement program and offer artist models, they probably have people who spend time with the players in stead of the books. What a novel approach to business.

. . . especially the guitar business

I saw Knopfler a little over a year ago ("ShangriLa" Tour), and when he wasn't playing electric, he was playing assorted Nationals.

Rare to see Knopfler play with a pick...

The Adamas sounds great..

Back in the late 70's (still in High School) Dire Straits opened my eyes to a new world of music. I've been a Knopfler nut ever since..

Karl, many thanks for the vid. I love Dire Straits and seeing an Adamas in the mix makes it that much sweeter! :D
