I pretty sure I've seen posts on the site regarding what items have historically gone for on the bay. Am I wrong, or is there a way to see what a 1597, for example, typically sells for online?

I don't recall ever seeing this but maybe an individual member has kept track over the years and could provide some info.

Personally, I think everything we have seen in the past can just be tossed out the window. Look at what Adamas 1's are going for now versus a year ago.

I don't know if this will help, but if you do an "Advanced Search" you can select "closed items" (I think that is the term, don't quote me) and it will search auctions that are done. From there you need to look at them and determine if they sold or just expired, but I think it just reports sold items.

I am not sure how far back it looks as there have been times when I searched for Ovation 1537 (for instance) and only came up with 1 or 2 when I know dozens have come and gone.

One just went for $620 plus $25 shipping! and I didn't get it! :( But it's a smoothie anyway.
But the "Advanced Search" only goes back about three weeks... 60 days tops!
Cuz that is when your old listings go away on your "My eBarf" page.

There are Market Research tools available for ebay that go further back, but they are "by subscription" services.

But on the bright side I did :)

Smoothie or not, it's an Adamas.
