Hey, there's always KGON for 70's and 80's.

...and KKSN (KISN) - they're STILL playing the 60's!

"Helpless" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.

D - A- G progression-- over and over and over and over and.........

And for all of its almost(?) mind-numbing simplicity, it's still one of the greatest songs ever written.

"C'mon out to NYC this week for the final week of operation for CBGB's"

I remember The Police openned for some local acts there. They stank then, too. I went for the Ramones. Great 2 minute songs. Say yer peace, then move on. At Gilley's Pub (Bleeker St & 5th Ave.) John Lennon, playing with David Peel & the Lower East Side, (bought us a coupla quarts of Ballentine Ale). And I'm surprised that CBGB's didn't burn down too... But Vomit and Beer don't burn well. Classy place, two blocks from the Bowery Mission. YIPPIE Headquarters, two blocks the other way. Good Location. Damn, I'm old...

So "alpep", did you try Ultimate Guitar? Time's a-wastin'

Hey you typed your song list while I was typing this. It looks real good. Rock the House.

we did the gig today.
it was a blast.
totally unorganized. played on the top of a flatbed truck that still had a ton of mortar residue on it. No one thought to sweep it off.
The generator was almost louder than the PA LOL.
what fun.

we played
20th century boy t rex
wild thing the troggs
purple haze hendrix

girl singer sang along to
Let's give em something to talk about
killer voice I told my nephew she needs to be in the band

came back did 2 more
all right now free
sunshine of your love cream

here are some pics

me with my hamer monaco superpro which is currently my main guitar.

here is how we looked on the truck

Tim my nephew on bass and vocals and Vinny on drums. Vinny is a great drummer he will be killer in a few years.

solo shot of timmy and his Hamer import velocity bass. A killer value for this korean made bass.

some kid was wearing a gorilla costume with the first band so we decided to call our band "we don't need no stinkin gorillas"

no current future gigs scheduled.

oh I forgot to mention. the crowd loved us.

With the proper cap, longer hair and a beard, Vinny could be the next Alpep!

Great that you helped out your nephew and that you all had fun. He will remember that for the rest of his life.

Nice, we got pics... Glad you had fun! And, of course a female singer would be good. If given a choice a looking at a few ugly dudes.... Nice clear day. Good choice of songs. Happy for you. Nice wood on that git-fiddle.

I knew you guys would pull it off, Al. And sometimes the panic just seems to add a little adrenaline - which isn't always a bad thing. Glad you guys had fun.

I was laughing the whole time we did the gig. My only concern was that we played songs that were easy and we could all pull off at a moments notice.
it worked out well.
