Location: Indiana | I have 1980's ovation balladeer 1561. I was looking to get rid of it but the place I was selling it to wouldn't buy it because it wasn't in working order. so I decided to fix it and keep it. somethings wrong with pickup and I was looking for a replacement pickup. But idk any good brands or any brands at all that would supply a pickup to replace one that old and for a ovation. And I don't have the money to pay for ovation to fix it. You know? |

If you do determine it's the pickup. check with Ovation Customer Service. I'd be willing to bet they have an exact replacement.
btw, "who do i have to do to get in?"... while I can't get you in, I did laugh out loud at that. |

I plugged it into my amp and I can hear when I turn the volume nob on and off. And I'm sorry damon really didn't mean any offense, just a joke. |

Location: Jet City | There are no other aftermarket brands that replace the Ovation pickup.
You might want to put a "want to buy" post in the for sale section.
BTW, did you make sure the pickup was plugged into the preamp all the way?
Aside from that, I'm not sure about the price new from Customer Service, but if you call or send an email, you should get an answer, but have a bit of patience on the response. |
