With all the wild imaginations I've seen here, I just KNOW there will be a good idea on this. I have an Old Yamaha Classical guitar that has a really worn case, with a missing handle. I have been carrying it around under my arm for the last couple of months and it's time to deal with it. I like the looks of the old case, but I need to come up with a creative handle idea. Any suggestions?

I had to replace the handle on an old, brown OHSC. I found something that looked very simular at K-mart.

On a similar thread Mark suggested a shop that repairs luggage. Sounds good to me...

I haven't tried these guys yet. They're here in Portland.

The Luggage Doctors

They specifically reference instrument cases.

Dang ... when you mentioned luggage the light just came on! I'll check the local thrift stores for an old piece of luggage and drill out the rivets, then reattach it to the guitar case. I can color it with leather dye.

You can buy a back axe, mentioned in another thread ...

or put on a strap (if you do a search one of the guys here did a pretty neat job, and even posted pics ... I forget who it was though)

or go to a luggage shop ...

or order a handle and parts from some one like this guy ...

Why don't you post a pic so we can some idea of what you need ...

A soft leather handle might be nice. How about finding an old purse at a yard sale and using the handle from that?

The cat carrier always make me laugh.

The frame is adjustable for length too so the cat ain't ever going to grow out of it.

Dude!

Handles on Ebay

Edit: I didn't notice that this thread wasn't about Ovation case handles... maybe they'll fit anyway?
