My 12 string has an OP24+. I put a new battery in it, when it is plugged into an amp I can hear it but the battery light is out. If I remove the battery and put it back in the light flashes, but won't stay on. For those of you that have an OP24+ pre-amp does your battery light stay on with a good battery? If so I may have a bad connection.

Mario, from the OP24+ Owners Manual:

Battery Low
This indicator performs two functions. First, when you plug in a cable to the output jack, it will flash briefly to indicate that a battery is present. If no flash is evident, your battery is either dead or not installed. Secondly, this indicator will illuminate (and stay on) if the voltage of the battery installed in the guitar dips below about 7 volts. Replace the battery as soon as possible. With average use, expect 100 hours of operation per battery.

Thanks, that's what I needed. I bought the guitar used so I didn't have a manual. Makes sense now, thanks you screwy Wabbit!

Mario,
Go to the Ovation website and look for manuals. They have some on line, even for the older model preamps, that you can print off and keep with the guitar. Even if you can't find one for the OP24+, it might be helpful to print off one of the newer ones.

At least I didn't give him the link. I always forget how to do that.

How about you meet us in Hermiston, about halfway between us, and see if JeffreyD can find us a bar?
