I'm looking at acquiring a '74 Custom Baladeer...deep bowl, no cutaway, acoustic only.
My question: does this have the VT bracing? In other words...should I stay away from it. John <>{

I don't think Balladeers (std or custom) ever got the VT bracing.....only the X bracing.

(don't quote me in court!)

Maybe some other members will know fer shure!

My '78 Custom Balladeer is X......

*UPDATE*

My '76 (?) "Guitar of the stars" catalog list the Classic Balladeer(1122) as having VT10 bracing but its a nylon stringer.....all others Balladeers around that year are listed a X braced.

'74 should be X braced also......Play It! and if it sounds good to your ears.....Buy It! :D
