Random quote: “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and charm and gaiety to life and to everything.” -Plato

... if you live in Gustav's path! In other words, if your home is within his sights, I'm hoping that you're in or on your way to a safe location. My prayers and bet wishes for those living in the targeted areas!

Take care my brothers and sisters!!!

Run away! Take your loved ones and guitars to high & safe ground. Hope it turns out to be a fizzer.

Unfortunately, 'Goose' will be a memorable 'cane for more than just the locals! :(

Well, thankfully 'Goose' didn't intensify and he dropped to a strong Cat 2. Now everyone awaits the surge, rain, tornadoes and higher gas prices.

Good luck to ya'll up there! Drop in and let us know how ya'll are doing when ya have a chance.

Now we get to sweat it out with Hanna and the Eastern seaboard... (Glenn, Slydog et. al.)

BT, yes we've been fortunate so far this season... still a ways to go.

The Tampa Bay area has dodged major 'canes for many years now... we're waaay overdue. Key West has it's protective 'Grotto'. Some say the TB area has the ancient Indian burial grounds protecting us.

Good news. It makes me thankful that all I have to worry about are the active Volcanoes that surround me.

Well, the Atlantic is running out of available space for developments... that's a 'train' out there! Looks like there is at least one more still on the African continent about to get wet feet.

Hoping to hear from our NGOM members soon...

Notice:

There are a couple of ya'll that I have some 'commitments' that has to be put on hold. I have to beg off for at least 24 hours in that my bud and I have to dash down to the Keys to retrieve our travel trailer and a boat before Ike redecorates the land/seascape. Granted we may be jumpin' from the pan into the fire, but we're not nearly as exposed here at home as down yonder.

For those within the 'cone', my best wishes! TJ and Gway, et al keep your eyes on Ike and stay low.

Catch ya'll later... *poof*

NottaProb.

I got turned-on to it by my neighbour who works for the Port of Tacoma.
(Yes, she WORKS for the Port of Tacoma(Washington), but LIVES in Jersey . . . HELLuva "commute").

Anyway, she frequents this site to keep track of possible storms at EastCoast ports.

It IS a pretty good site . . .
