Wasn't sure whether to put this in the "For Sale" section, because what interested me about this link were the extraordinarily nice pictures of this guitar. These are downloadable, beautiful, Damon67-quality pictures -- minus the red blanket.

The guy wants a passel of dollars for the instrument, and I suspect he's a tad over-optimistic, but the pictures alone are worth the visit.

In the end I figured I'd post it here, because, after all, the guitar IS for sale. And, who knows, maybe someone here wants it for the money.

It's here .

Takes a while to load all the pictures, but well worth the wait.

Very early, shiny bowl, winged bridge, small soundhole, superb condition...worth every penny he's asking, if for nothing other than it's historical value and rarity. Never mind that it's probably a stonkin' tone monster.

I had one just like that with a slightly earlier serial number and sold it to another member here. I wish I had got that kind of money for mine, but it's in good hands where it is. All I can say is that guitar could really ring.

Actually they were crib mates - A276 and A279. And the condition looks exactly the same after all those years of being separated.
Wish I had the money - would love to have twins...
