Can be seen here.

Looks to be in OK shape, but the photos aren't great. About half the price of what it was new.

Lot of money for an autograph....played but not owned.

Tim In Tidewater's is pretty awesome and I know they are expensive.....so maybe this is a deal!

If I remember correctly, these were $8K+ new.

I've only seen pics of Tim's, but it looks to be in really good shape.

99.9% sure that is Steve Frangadakis from onelightburning.com former custom-made DN#21. He paid $7K to have it made in 1992 and sold it to someone in Scotland back around 2003. Steve's was a one-off because of the carved bridges and the OP24 is correct. The star was an inlay instead of a stickon like RS used on many of his.

I've exchanged emails Steve several times back in 2006 when I first picked up mine from Darren Seu in Hawaii.

I turned down $12K for mine back in 2009, so yes, a heck of a deal...

They might sell it for twice as much with better pics. The thing looks like total crap.

That said, I'd LOVE to have a USA doubleneck. We'll have to get together next time I'm out that way Tim. I'd love to see yours... Along with the rest of your stunning instruments.

Going back through my files, this is the same listing that was put on Ebay in March 2008 with the same crappy pictures, it didn't sell then as I recall...or made a note of.

Here is Steve Frangadakis with Doubleneck #21

BTW, I REALLY LIKE the fact that the 12 is on the bottom instead of the top

I'm sure you knew I meant an O.

That reminds me, I should release that thing from it's case. It's been some time since I've given it any love.

Not me, been doing the email thing. But I'll let him boast about it if he so choices ;)

He did let me know it was a shallow bowl and not a deep like mine...now I want to try it out even more!

Naw, coming back to North America. The only other USA shallow bowl I know of was Jimmy Pages that he used on the Led Zeppelin Unleaded tour. I'm sure there's others that I haven't come across yet. I'm always looking out for others.

Beautiful and rare model. Let us know how she turns out for you. What does something like that weigh? Need an NFL-sized shoulder?

Well she finally arrived today...spent 7 days in "jail" (customs)...this guitar is almost mint,no dings nothing, the last owner never even changed the strings the whole 9 years he had it!! (they are BLACK!!) Needs some humidity as the top is a little wavy but no cracks or problems...I will post pictures soon!!!

Hello all fellow Ovation fans..so I just recieved my very rare # 21 1992 (solid top custom shop Richie Sambora doubleneck). The guitar is awesome except there is a problem. The top (on the 12 string side) between the bridge and neck has "sunk". I am guessing tuned to high and maybe not enough humidity control on the guitar. My question to anyone out there that might have had this happen..maybe on a 12 string...can this be fixed?...its kinda heartbreaking...please if anyone has had a similar experience please reply,Tanks...Greg
