I've had this 1114-4 for a couple of years. I had it sent directly from the seller to the Mothership. Had some phone time with K.K. and let him have his way. They put new steel string tuners on it, a bone nut, gave it a good buffing and sent it to me.
I made a Micarta saddle for it and installed black Dunlop strap buttons.

This is a '76, but it looks like it spent most of it's life in the case. It has a small ding in the top finish. There's a stress crack at the neck/headstock joint...I was willing to have Kim do anything he saw fit, but he assured me it was fine and should be left alone. Otherwise, this is a clean, shiny, well-taken-care-of 35 year old guitar. No finish cracks, clean bowl, does NOT show it's age.

This guitar did not come with a case, but I'll supply a TKL/Ovation ultralite case which is worse for wear but it's OK.

The only reason I want to part with this guitar is the neck is too wide for me. Arthritis pushes me into a corner with my playing more and more each year. I LOVE the 12 fret because it keeps my left hand closer to my body, but I need a narrower neck.

I have $300 into this guitar; that's what I'd LIKE to get. I have no idea how to track what a reasonable price is in this economy. I don't need the money to buy food. I just know I won't use the guitar again.

In all the years I've been part of this group, I never could figure out how to post pics! If you want some let me know and I'll email you some.

Download pics to Photobucket or something similiar and then paste URL onto post... I think in the FAQ, there are good instructions.

I'm interested.

$300.00, with a case? Should be irresistible. Too bad I'm broke.

That's a steal for $300! (even with the glued stress crack) If I knew somone looking for a good deal on a guitar right now, I'd steer-um to this one. VERY nice.
