I DID have such a kb, but it broke. Made in China, after all! I just suggested that Denis check out used Adamas guitars, particularly 1685 12'ers, because he might find some good deals. I also said that many prefer Adamases made in the USA over those made overseas. Then I wished him luck.

Joined: March 2011 Posts: 29 Location: Moscow | Guys, please, I need any help! I and my friend have decided to save some money and buy new Adamas 1687-8 12-String, but in the Ovation online-shop the are only Ovation Model 1685 6-Strings! One question, is it possible, to put an order an 12-String Adamas directly by Ovation factory, a black Modell 1687 12-String with V-Neck? Ovation warrants "Lifetime Warranty", is it true? Does anyone know how I can contact the Ovation from Russia? Thanks in advance for any information! Sincerely, Denis

I play primarily 12 string and there is NOTHING (that I have found...) that sounds as good as a 1688. To my ears, they feature the best balance of tone, power and playability of any 12 string. I am sure there will be contradictory opinions from the 'wood box crowd', but you owe it to yourself to try one if the opportunity arises... ;)

My friend and I decided that the best Adamas guitar, and he should be with us! I played on the models 1655, 1755, 1756.1759, it is difficult to explain but this is not the sound we're looking for! We Tense each muscle that would have been with us for 1688! I'm going crazy, even from pictures guitar! and God forbid we all live in harmony sound.

The problem is that finding a used one that anyone would be willing to sell may be difficult. You have made a good point though, about the lifetime warranty that comes with a new guitar. As far as I'm concerned, they have the best warranty coverage in the business. Like I mentioned earlier, you may want to contact Al.
