Does anyone know if the passive '59 Seymour Duncan pickups on a VXT will operate without the 9 volt battery? If no, will they operate with a dead battery plugged in the connector to "complete" a circuit? (Obviously, it is a given that the fishman bridge requires the battery. Just wondering if about the humbucker operations.) Thanks!! :)

BTW, Just pickup one up from Texas and I love the Cinnamon Burst color scheme this one came with. I wanted one of these since 2007! :)

Hi,
both systems don't work without or with a dead battery. I've had one with a problem in the battery circuit.
