Location: Colorado | The auction states that it's a 1581, but I have a feeling it's the 1881 based on the color. I've emailed the owner and he's posted some extra pics that somewhat show bowl depth. It looks to be a shallow bowl and has the OP-24 preamp. Serial number is on the tag inside the bowl rather than on the headstock and NB8 can be read on the tag, too.

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Tood, this is very close to my 1581 with the exception that I have a single-side epaulet and the blue burst. It is an excellent guitar and this one appears to be a great deal also. |

Location: Colorado | The piece of the label right before the "NB8" is missing. That's why the model number is in question, but I am pretty sure this is not a 1581.
I looked at the additional pictures and the preamp pics sure makes it look like this guitar is a shallow bowl--the preamp is really close to the binding and close to where the back of the bowl begins.
Also, I thought the factory only used the no-burst red and blue on the 1881 model (unless a custom order).
Perhaps I'm mistaken. It wouldn't be the first time... |
