Interestingly, at the factory tour last week I saw lots of koa in storage but it was all back/side grade. I didn't see any for koa tops.

EXCEPT FOR THE WARRANTY, as I am not a dealer, these are brand new and have been kept in their cases. They were bought from Al in a moment of foolishness (by Al) and GAS (by me). They are available for sale now or later...

It would be wise to snag any you could get from Tony. I'd really be suprised to see anybody letting go of the ones they have now. They are nicer looking than any pictures could begin to show. And they sound and play as good as they look.

I like and love them anyhow and did not buy them to make money, but music, but - hey, what do I know? Best regards, Kurt

Would a Makita power drill be a good investment? Yes, if you use it properly it can help you earn a good living and as such, it was a good investment. Is the tool itself an investment that you can simply resell in years time and make a profit? Certainly not. Ovation makes some great instruments and in the power drill way of thinking they are good investments to get the job the job done. Maybe enough to earn a living or maybe even become rich and famous. Who knows.

Ovations were non-existent back then along with Taylors and other current favorites. Give it another 20-25 years and see what the original slotheads go for (when they can be found on the market)!
