Nearly new Boss TU-16 tuner for sale. Purchased as a replacement when my stage tuner went missing after one of the girls' shows. The missing unit then showed up, so this one is for sale.

A few minor nicks in the plastic so it cannot be claimed as mint, but it is darn close and it works fine. Original instruction manual included. Requires 2 AA batteries, not included.

+- 1 cent accuracy
Backlit display for dark stages
Bass or Guitar mode
Drop D, Open D/E/G/A, DADGAD and flat tunings up to 5 semitones
Bright arrows indicate direction to tune
Analog needle
Can be used in line with your effects on stage

Boss\' product web page

Yours shipped to USA address for $60. (new price $85)

Pictures of actual item for sale. One small scratch in the clear lens, one scratch near the switches. Probably a few others of similar magnitude.

Hi Flysig:
I'm certain I'm showing my ignorance here but what do these units do, or why are they worth so much more money than the multitude of $20 tuners available?

If all you do is tune your guitar to standard tuning, it really only adds accuracy. There are a ton of other functions such as drop tunings or offsets which are useful for some folks.

Good tuners will be more stable over temperature changes and less affected by sagging battery voltage.

Good strobe tuners like Petersen can cost upwards of $500.

These cheaper ones for less than $100 have a lot of bang for the buck and do a good job.

Course if you want to really go cheap there are tuning forks and pitch pipes.
