The sale goes on...

For those not acquainted with the Ovation Collectors series; each year since 1982 Ovation made a limited number collectors guitars with specific ground breaking features, unique woods and configurations. These guitars were and still are truly collectible instruments. Made lovingly at the Ovation mothership in Hartford, CT, USA!

This one is in MINT condition! No cracks or faults or any issues at all! Has had VERY little play, always lived in it's case when not in use! Never gigged and comes from a pet and smoke free home. It's marked as a factory reconditioned guitar (FRG) but I can tell you with my hand on my heart that there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with it AT ALL! The FRGs were guitars that during the final inspection process at the Ovation factory were deemed to have a small problem and was addressed before shipping out. I stress again that you (and I) would never ever know that there was a problewm with this guitar, it's perfect in every respect!

Own a piece of history, this guitar will outlast you! The only reason I’m selling is because I really have TOO many Ovations and need to thin the herd (see my other Ebay listings). I’ll be sad to see it go but it really does need to be played and loved. These don't come up very often due to the limited numbers made plus owners very rarely want to part with them, also they are as rare as hen's teeth in the UK!

Fitted as standard with a Ovation OP40 preamp. The new OP40 system leaves other systems back in the 20th century. The eq has a Mid-Shift switch that moves the center frequency of the mid band between 400Hz and 900Hz. It also features a Pre-Shape circuit for that extra "cut" you need in live band situations. The ultra-steep notch filter can zap feedback one note at a time. All this control lets you zero in on your perfect personal tone.

Comes with an Ovation hard shell case.

I’ll ship to anywhere, if outside the UK please ask for a quote first as the international shipping cost is just an estimate. Only serious bidders please. Reserve is set at £700 which is very reasonable for a ’03 Collector in pristine condition, I really do want this to go to a good home. This is one of the finest examples of this rare, limited collectors guitar that you are likely to find. Any questions please ask.

I lied! ;)

It was either the 06C or the 03C. I had no intention of parting with the 03C, but after playing both side by side unplugged and plugged I just came down on the side of the 06. The 06 had a slight advantage because it's similar in a lot of ways to the 07 and I love the 07.

It's odd I really didn't like the contours at first but now like the extra bottom I get, especially as I like to use lighter strings. If it doesn't sell I certainly won't be heartbroken as I do love it.

Just need to make some room for some other goodies (not yet sourced), also I am trying to rationalise so I can focus on improving.

I'm not certain rationality is permitted in the board by-laws...it inhibits GAS. :p

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I think I really ought not to sell this!

I did an unfair A/B comparison against the GODLIKE 06C and 07C and the 03C came up short but it's still a killer :(

Beautiful guitar Dweez. But as good as you say it sounds, I just gotta think that it would sound even better with strings on it.

Just a thought.....
