I've been playing with the sound hole plugs on my 87C. Plugging the 3 holes on the treble side really make the bass E and A strings pop. I may just leave them in there.

Anybody else use them on a regular basis?

I have the holes in the treble bout of the Adamas LongNeck plugged.

Being that it was a custom-build, the holes were JUST slightly larger than the production units and the plugs were loose & prone to falling out.
I have them taped in-place with a piece of gaffer's tape from the inside of the guitar . . .

You know, the holes in the OFC guitar (ding!) are slightly smaller than in the production models. Couldn't use the plugs in it.

I woulda thought that all the sound holes in the multi hole guitars would have been of a uniform size.......

Interesting how the holes vary. They fit perfectly on my 47RI which should be identical to the OFC - (ding!) and they fit my 1189 perfectly too. But on my 1581 just 1 of the 3 main holes is slightly bigger than it should be and the bung falls through.

the medium sized ones on the upper bout are a bit too snug on my 1778lx. I did manage to slowly and carefully get them in.

the 1778lx stays in it's case these days when it's at home. It's the go to for playing out now, so I leave all the holes plugged.

All our O's in this house are single sided eppis. Plugging the holes makes them sound thin. But amplified, they sound glorious even plugged. The louder the better, too.
