What would be a good Grayson Capps cd to start off with if I had to pick just one?

My favorite songs of his ("Poison", "Uncle Ed Lee" and "Wail and Ride") are on his first release, Wail and Ride. The movie soundtrack only has has three of his songs ("Love Song for Bobby Long", "Washboard Lisa", and "Lorraine's Song") all of which are on his second release, If You Knew My Mind. Get both, it's all good!

I have both and like "Wail and Ride" best but you can't go wrong with either. Good Stuff!

if I remember correctly, Beal did a nice little cover of "Poison" at the g8rbowl...or was it Amelia...regardless, it was nice and led me to more of Grayson's music. Thanks Beal!

It was g8r's. Me too.

You could go to itunes and sort all his songs by most popular and listen to samples.

Or buy "Wail & Ride", then download A Love Song for Bobby Long, Graveyard, Washboard Lisa and Lorraine's Song from "If You Knew My Mind".

From "Wail & Ride" my must-haves are: Wail & Ride, Jukebox (very country), Poison, Broomy and Ed Lee.

There are great live videos on Youtube from Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta last year, others too.

You pretty much can't go wrong. There's also a decent tab for Bobby Long on the net. The intro isn't quite right, but it's easy to correct. Really fun to play.

Whatever you get, you must have Bobby and Ed at the very least.

Go to his web site and get the two most recent. Wail and Ride and If you knew my mind, I like that one better than Wail but they are close.
Those are the best two. There are two old ones and the sound track.

I just bought the album at Amazon. That was my first album purchase from them, but it was a dollar cheaper than itunes, and $5 less than buying the CD. Plus, being mp3, I assume it's more transportable? Thanks for that link, CL.

CL - there is no DRM at Amazon - I try to avoid buying from Itunes now if I possibly can. And thanks for the reminder... I'm off to buy it now!
