I have an fd-14 and it has black tuning keys. Are these original or did the music store swipe the perloid ones? All the ones I've seen have perloid buttons, were those added by the owners?

They came with black keys. The only one I've seen that has the pearloid is Witko's and can be seen at his website http://www.ovationgallery.com

Tell us, what do you think of your FD14? What kind of strings do you use on it?

Sorry. I just got here and accidentally posted in the wrong section. I tried to delete right away, but I was too late. I was shocked when I saw someone had sold one, then I saw he had one left. If I had two, I would give the pleasure to you. I used to live in Portland, but bought this guitar in Rancho Cordova, CA at a little music store that was closing down. Can you believe I got it on the last day for about $1,000 including the case. It was fate! Over in the general forum, I wrote more about my love for this most fabulous of all guitars.

How do I delete this thread so nobody else gets disappointed?

I am shocked and appaulled! You are the first one to post in the wrong spot and get mad cause they can't edit after 10 Jersey minutes!

Not!

Welcome, we all hit that wall at some time.

Now, is this thread supposed to end and pick up in the other one?

Thanks. I would only be really willing to part with it for about 50 times it's current value and that's only because I have to raise my children well.
This guitar makes the songs I write come alive like no other I have laid my (inadequate compared to most of you) fingers upon.
After finding out how others love and even covet my precious, I have been re-inspired. I have begun to write again. The music is newly resounding in my head. I am again becoming obsessed with the melodies that keep me awake at night and again I am not ignoring them. I will again get up and get it recorded before it goes away forever.
Thank you.
I play guitar badly. I write extraordinarily well. This guitar makes me better in every way.
Now I have to do both together well enough to justify owning this treasure.
I will do my best.
Thanks for the warm welcome and inspiration, Julie
