Location: NJ | I watched part one last night and it was really good. there was some killer old footage that I have never seen and I think i have watched every folk and rock documentary and video every produced. the gene vincent clip was killer.
I always liked dylan and respect his ability, although I have to admit that sometimes he is not at his best game.
I find it fascinating that both ramblin jack elliott and phil ochs were missing from the documentary. ochs and dylan were sorta rivals and jack was the one that introduced bob to woody guthrie. i know from the jack elliott documentary that there is major bad blood there.
anyone else catch it? |

It WAS pretty good.
I was never a big Dylan fan, but watched it from a "historical" aspect (and hey! . . . it's f*&%#n' SCORSESE!!) . . .
I thought the Dave VanRonk/"HouseOfTheRisingSun"-thing was pretty funny . . .
(that and the whole thing with the "stolen records":-) |

| I watched it too. It was pretty good. What was the other choice? Broncos vs. Chiefs? I don't think so. |
