Location: SoCal | I was in the Hollywood Guitar Center tonight. They have a used 79 Glen Campbell 12 string for sale --- $1700!! Now we finally know what they are worth. And that's without it even being in tune. Tune it and it's probably going for over 2 grand! |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | My local GC is about to put a used 1118-1 (without the Glen Campbell signature TRC) out for $429. It was being restrung (!!!!) last night while I was there (the price tag was already on it).
Looked just like mine (except I HAVE the signature TRC).

Location: Boise, Idaho | As I've said here before, our GC pricing sucks. They do nothing to promote Ovations. The assistant manager doesn't like them and tries to sell me a standard box guitar every time I talk to him. Then they have a used shallow bowl Legend that they want $750 for and a Balladeer for $600 and they will only budge $50. I told them I've bought 5 Ovations since Christmas and the response was, "So when are you going to buy a regular guitar?" At first I couldn't comprehend what he was talking about. He might have said "wood" or "real", but I think it shows the bad attitude toward Ovations. They ought to lose the license, but they seem to sell quite a few Celebrities. |
