Still Have my W597 Colbalt Blue Adamas for sale. It has the older Optima electronics and tuner. The guitar is in excellant condition, I played it regularly for a year so it does have a bit of minor fret wear and a slight smudge on the top where I brace my fingers (easily buffed out). The only other things are a very slight scratch on the bridge, and the bass-side epaulet has a very slight curl on one edge. Not mint but still in really nice condition.

It's a solid and reliable guitar and sounds great. I live in SE Michigan if you'd like to see it. Send me an email. I will probably put it on Ebay soon so act quickly if interested.

Asking $850 shipped to the continental US.

So Brian, when you sell your '05 and W597, what are you going to buy?

I have my Martin D28 for unplugged. I have a Ibanez AS73 hollow body on order for a temporary electric. Who knows what's next? I am seriously gassing for:

Adamas U681T, no need to explain.

or

Martin 000C-16RGTE AURA. This is the best sounding electric-acoustic I have heard. It's not much unplugged but into a PA it sounds fantasic. It's also got a nice compact body size.

or dare I say it.....

A Taylor T5. A bit pricey, but I played one for awhile plugged into a Roland and I have to say its the best hybrid acoustic-electric that I have seen, It really was a sweet guitar.

Love the T5. Nice guitar....actually the only Taylor I have played that I liked.

Not that pricey, at 2K. At least, compared to other Taylors.

Brian, I'm very tempted. I would have over a week to come up with an explanation before my wife gets back from Tibet.
Of course, I may have to go live there if the explanation's not good enough.

I love it when that happens (only when I am the actual buyer or seller, of course) :D

Hey Brian, good luck finding a guitar that suits your needs. But you'd better not leave this board! We expect to hear from you. Besides, you'll get another Ovation eventually......

Ya right like I'm going to leave this board...I have to much fun arguing with you guys. Plus I've learned a lot as well. Do I have to own an O' to participate?

I probably will pick up another O' in the not too distant future. But I'm trying to cull my stable down a bit. I figure I need one flagship electric, one flagship acoustic, one decent acoustic electric, and a beater. At the moment I'm down to my D28 and my Fender P-bass.

I read your posting yesterday and tried to think of a way to explain to the wife why I needed to use my credit card to buy ANOTHER guitar. This morning I headed to the computer ready to make the move and beg forgivness later, but of course it was gone. You know ... it could be worse, I could be spending my money on booze women, or gambling, but of course I'm preaching to the choir here. :)

I'd love to, but as destiny has it, my son just called this morning after I posted my last message, and said I am going to be a grandfather again in May. He's in the service, stationed in Japan, so the wife just informed me that we're on a saving spree for a trip to Japan ... Go figure.
