Location: Cincinnati, OH | I'm in the process of listing my 1982 Custom Order Model 1129 Custom Legend acoustic on ebay. Before anyone gets back to me with "that's not a valid model number", it is valid just not a production line item. This is possibly one of a kind or maybe a prototype used in development of the 1983 Collectors Series (the serial number is 278402, mid to late '82). It has a handwritten model number on the blue "ovation logo" bowl label and has an Artist's depth bowl(5-1/8"),K-bar neck,ebony bridge,chrome hardware, and a Barnboard(grey to black burst) finish which was never a standard finish option for Custom Legends of any year. It is in excellent condition with no fret wear and only two cosmetic "flaws": one little nick in the finish on the back side of the headstock between tuners and (2) inch long "checks" in the lacquer finish on the top at the base. The original blue lined hardshell case is in great but not perfect condition. This rare acoustic CL not only looks beautiful but plays and sounds wonderful. It would be a great addition to any collection and I'm sure will always appreciate in value. I have more pics in a photo gallery on OFC. Watch for the ebay listing in a day or two.
