Thanks to welcome and helpful suggestions, I have refined my search for a nylon string guitar, and here is the latest version of my search
1- a wider than normal, (but not classical,)nut
width of 1 7/8, and any neck length
2- a shallow, or "mid" shallow bowl
3- internal pickup and it must have a
working internal pre amp
4- (hopefully) it would have a hard case
5- very little or no fret wear
6- not a steel string model retrofitted with
nylon strings, but one with
so called classical internal bracing and
nylon string bridge
I have seen a CC 059 that fits the above description, but it didn't have an internal pre amp - just the pickup - an economy model, I 'spose

You are defining a Country Artist. Watch ebay. Old and new ones pop up all the time.

Paul, I think the Country Artist 1624 has the Artist (mid) depth bowl. At least mine definitly does. I'm not sure I've seen a shallow bowl nylon with the 1-7/8 neck, but anything is possible. Dave

Felix, One other thing. Do you want a 12 fret or 14 fret clear of body? The "standard" for classical guitars is usually 12 fret. The Country Artist is 14 frets. I have had a CA for many years and it is a damn nice guitar. The artist depth bowl is actually very comfortable to play. Dave

PS - Does anyone know if the Artist bowl and the current mid-depth bowl are exactly the same. I thought I saw someplace that they were slightly different (a few millimeters).

The mid-depth is deeper than the old artist-depth bowl and slightly shallower than a deep-bowl.
