Yes, that are Schaller tuners:

I've upgraded mine to this typ:

They are also built in the FD-14 and 1680 without the plate, but superb looking with the plate!!

I think that Alpep (here, or lostartvintage.com) has the complete sets of tuners. Ask him if he takes PayPal.

thanks Numbfingers, I contacted Lostartvintage and he has a set but they do not have the plastic barrels that the strings wind on. Do you know if the barrels I have on my guitar are removable. They are the originals but I have not removed them yet

They will be destroyed if you remove them. I've done it to remove them for guitars with steel strings.
Do you want the original ones in chrome??
I'll ask for a price here in Germany. Maybe I can help you (if you want).

I would take originals in gold or chrome...prefering gold. they must be the originals because it looks like the sealed classical tuners that they make today are too short to cover the end screw holes with the plate. I guess I might have to consider buying another "parts" guitar.

Hi, John,

the ones I've upgraded my guitar will cover all holes. You can see me 1114-4 on my ning site.
If I can help you, please drop me a PM. I'll look for the price and the shipping fees, then you can decide where to go.
