Wow is all I can say about this guitar. Looks to be in great shape. It's right between the winged bridges and the full inlay Legend neck. I suspect that this configuration is very rare. Hope somebody here grabs it....

Very similar to mine, but I have the winged bridge. My s/n is also F but about 400 numbers earlier. The spec sheet for mine called it a Deluxe Balladeer, not Legend. I think that came later. And I think this is earlier than 1971. Mine is from mid-'69 from what I can tell.

Nice bit of history. I keep mine strung Nashville and it does a good job of that.

Nice instrument. I am thinking about it.
Thanks for posting.

The condition is great for the pictures.

I am curious if this would be authentic as I thought the legend came out in 1971, however, this appears to be an earlier model?

It's very authentic. I suppose that there's an outside change that the winged bridge might have had a problem and the standard walnut one put on, but 1970-71 is about the time they were making that switch...

I got mine (1117 F082) from Damon. It's a VT11 mod.
At the beginning was a bit dull, but after having a brace glued back on and changed both nut and saddle with a buffalo bone ones and a good set up, it sound stellar. Much better then a A braced guitar. At least for my ears :)
This one would be a nice deal for someone here....

BTW, the saddle is compensated .... I found diferences in sound with the regular Ovation non compensated saddle.

I normally use extra light gauge .011-.050. Sometime also .047. I tested lots of brands to find out the one that suit me best :)
