...did they never made a 12 strings slothead with carved scroll?

I started to think that it would be a beautiful guitar!

I don't know who owned that guitar but for sure it's not a slothead, I wonder why it's filed in the slothead page but the neck is the same any Adamas I...Imo a 12 strings slothead should look like:

Number 33 is considered one of the proto slotheads cause it was made during the same run. Apparently a slothead version did not make sense to build.

I have also heard that #33 does not contain the mojo and magic of the other original slotheads but since I have never actually heard it, I can only speculate.

Sam did own it at one time.

It's a slot head in every way except the peghead and it's #33. They started with 26 and went to 60 so no matter how you look at it, 33 is in there between of 26 and 60. Sam had it for a while and now it's over in Japan last I knew.

This sentence made me laugh!

My point wasn't disputing if the 33 was one of the Adamas, but if Ovation ever made a 12 strings slothead, it seems no and I wonder why, the 6 strings Adamas slothead is an amazing design, but better than the solid peghead.

Ever changed strings on a 6 string slot head? Now imagine how long it would take on a 12 string!

Actually I find that changing strings on my 2080D 12 string slothead to be easier than a paddle 12.

It became a lot easier once I put alternating color tuning pegs on....black ebony/white ivory....which seems simple enough but really makes it easier to tune and change strings (at least for me).

People have been changing the strings on Glen Campbell 12's (slotheads) for a long long time. It's not a big deal. Extra 3-4 minutes. So what?

I owned it for several years but did sell it to spyder in Japan. It did not have the sound like the 6 string original slots had.It just never sounded good to me compared to other 12 string adamas or to any other 12 string models for that matter.Every other detail about the guitar was just like the other original slotheads except it had a paddle peghead.Beautiful guitar to look at but did not have any tone magic.
