Welcome Roger.
Go to www.stewmac.com and look through the Archtop Bridges to verify the height and width you think you'll need. Then with some good info you can search Ebay.
I didn't expect to find any NOS Ovation units so I went with a quality looking unit from Ebay for about $30.
Knowing the height and width you need is critical.
When you say 3" wide you likely mean the overall width.

Thanks for the help but I did mean spacing between the post centers is just over 3". This is an odd size! The storm guitars had this size and the spacing between E an E is 2 1/8" at the bridge. These I have measured on a Eclipse that I also own.I have been in touch with the owner of Schaller in Germany but they do not have any. I did however manage to buy a pickup from them for the neck pickup that is bad on my Tornado. I could replace the bridge with one that has a base like the ones you pointed out, but the string spacing is still a problem. I purchased a Bigsby bridge without the notches but I am at the extreams on a couple of the landings and it is just not quite right. So I am looking for an original bridge. I was hoping someone here could help with that. |
