I've been a very naughty boy.

I hadn't played my 2007 Collectors for some months so dusted it down (it's the only guitar I hang as I want it on show and to hand) and gave it a play.

Damn that's a great guitar. Lovely bass responce and sooooooo easy to play. Yum.

I've kind of neglected it but I think I'll be using it for the Snowflight piece for the album.

I will never sell this guitar.

Just realised I've only a few pics of it, must rectify that too.

The fun part of having to many guitars is coming back and re-discovering one all over again.

Gee, I went searching in my computer for pics of my 07C so the we could compare 'stretch-marks'...
I realized that I don't have too many pics of mine either.

Apparently 2007 Collectors' don't get the respect they deserve.

I too love my 07 BCS collector. I'm using for perfomances this weekend. It always gets lots of attention for its looks and sound.

OMA that is some really nice figure on yours.
God bless,
Steve

Stretch marks.

Still, a great guitar. One that I didn't appreciate when it came out and later realized that it was a terrific instrument.....

Oh Stephen, I'm SO glad to hear someone else say that! I was beginning to think I had a problem with my hearing. I thought the one I had sounded "nasal". It didn't do a thing for me.

I'm a dues paying member. I got a good one. It came direct from the factory, and included the order form from my dealer (Lost Art Vintage). Under "special instructions", it said "Pick out a good one". Thanks, Al.

Got one too, Love it and play it a lot also. I'll try and get a pic to post for the "stretch mark" comparison (:

Its my only Ovation and I really like its tone and ease of playing. I dont play enough to warrant buying more guitars but was tempted with the 2009 Collectors. You guys really helped me out with all your good advice on setting up the saddle and neck. No more fret buzz and nice low action. Thanks

In the dreaded scenario of being able to keep only one guitar, the 2007 would be it.

Its subjective I know but nasal?

My 07C is anything but nasal, it's bright, loud, big and with a solid bass.

Perhaps you tried a 'bad' one.

Next you'll be saying the 1537 is too timid. ;)

Yeah Dweeze, it's the only one I have played, and the guy who bought it from me loves it. I wouldn't say I got a "bad" one, but it is true that some guitars of the same model sound better than others. I think part of the reason I didn't like it so much was I got it at the same time as my 2077LX. That guitar has crystaline trebs and mids, and that's why the '07C might have sounded nasal to me. NO guitar I've ever owned has sounded as good to my ear as the LX. (Pretty amazing when you consider all of the great guitars I've owned over the years.)
