But the lovely Kimby-D and I had a wonderful dinner sitting outside in a sidewalk cafe this evening, here in the gaslamp area of San Diego. We didn't even need coats. But we did have rain, heavy at times, for a couple of days earlier this week. So all of you back east: Batten down the hatches, there's more on the way!

I was driving by a house on the way to work when I saw a set of legs with boots on, and just the blade and about a foot of the handle of a snow shovel sticking up out of a snowbank. They used a pair of sweatpants and must've had a bendable wire in with the stuffing because it looked like the "guy" was kicking. Very realistic looking and pretty funny.
