Came to my house as part of a trial tour. It's very small, light (chambered body), and easy to play. Very hot pickups. I think they need to work on the fit and finish a little, but a nice first offering anyway.

Is it a "thru-neck" with that chambered body?

I guess you could call it that, the neck is one piece with the body.

Interesting. That body looks incredibly thin… can you shave with it? Seriously, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable playing that, it's like the opposite end of the spectrum from a deep bowl Ovation.

I like the appearance though, (no big surprise, since I love the 2080's) black and stealth-looking, anything else and it might be called "cute." ;)

…and no neck-reset or truss-rod adjustment ever needed (nor possible) on that baby…

Jim,

Is CA planning on putting them on the market?

It would be interesting to do an A/B with this one.

Looks very thin indeed. How is the weight?

I think it's around 4 lbs. When they first made it, it started out at around 3, but they felt it was too light so they added weight to it.

interesting way of installing strings

Not sure I like the carbon fiber look though. Neat shape.
