Anyone know if the recently discontinued 6773 models (nylon strings) are any good? The reason I'm asking is that they incorporate VT8 Bracing and I'm not sure I've heard this configuration is any good. I hear good things about the A Bracing, LX Bracing and the Adamas Fan Bracing but don't recall anyone saynig the VT8 Bracing was in the "good" category.

Thanks.

If you're talking about the one below, I owned one and thought it was pretty terrible. Bad acoustically, bad plugged in, and a lot of shoddy workmanship. Buyer beware.

Now the LX models on the other hand are a whole other story. Tortoise binding, wonderful detail to quality. Get one of those instead.

Thanks Dave. This is exactly the guitar I was looking at on Ebay. Nice looking guitar on the outside but I became concerned about it when I looked into the bracing pattern.

I had that style top put on my 1613 when the original split. Love that rosette.

It's the famous "Indian Blanket" (â„¢ cliff) Rosette.

I love it.

The rosette is indeed very nice.

Sadly I found it to be the nicest part of the guitar.

Here's my 1613/FL-top in the able hands of Billy Strange.
