Mike, for someone into 12-strings I'm surprised you don't have a U681 or 2080 12-string. Dave, I would love to have both of those: I think only one 2080 12 was built and not sure of it's status...I know Mike sold it last year... The U681 is one that being a 12 fret player for so many years I would certainly love...I'm in the same boat there: where to find one for sale... This Pacemaker is so fine...it (as most do) has a bell like sound; man, do I love 'em...my faithful companion for many many years...one truly great guitar! The case had a bunch of funky bumper stickers on it: gone now...but at one point in its life it was flown and the owner used duct tape to keep the latches closed during the flight...now it has the petrified residue left...anybody know how or what to use to remove it? Besides a sander...lol I drooled, but had to pass.

We did an A/B comparison against the baritone 2080 12 and while we both agreed the baritone sounded better (as in uprooting trees and causing walls to fall) the regular 2080 12string sounded awesome. Can't go wrong if you snag that one! Probably never be another one made or if so it will cost way more money.

Besides a sander...lol [/QB] Get a little bottle of "Goof-Off" at the hardware store. We use it to remove stickers, tape residue, scuff marks & all sorts of crap in our rental houses. Cheap, easy to find & works great. We buy it by the gallon. WD-40 might work too. In fact, if you have some in stock (doesn't everybody?) you might try that first.
