Location: Utica, NY | Along the lines of Trader Jim's Strat birthday buy and the topic of Jol Dantzig's blog here is what I bought myself for Christmas this year. It's a 2005 Hamer chambered Monaco Elite. This was special ordered by the previous owner and is another fine example of the just stellar work that they do there and the level of craftsmanship they exhibit. Often overlooked but always exceptional.

It's funny that you say this because this has happened to me on more than one occasion. Most recently when I owned my Adamas 1680 which was WAYYY too good for me and again when I was shopping for a Hamer Newport and I had one offered to me that was just too beautiful for what I was going to use it for. It belonged in a far better home than I would give it. Honestly, this one showed up a lot nicer than the original pics would indicate but I think it's practical enough for me.
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I know how much I enjoy seeing all these stunning guitars both here and on the HFC list and I am happy to have one to offer back. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | You'll love it. Only thing better (but probably more expensive) than being the second owner is to be the first owner after you design the specs yourself and then watch it being built on Jol's blog. ;) |
